Volunteers Will Reach the Beach to Dig up Microplastics

Acumed will clean the beach in front of Haystack Rock (Gower Street entrance) on August 15, 2018 from 11am to 4pm. Staff members from Acumed will reach the beach—Cannon Beach, to be specific—to help rid the sand of microplastics. Working with the nonprofit organization Sea Turtles Forever and led by Acumed’s Green Team, the 30 volunteers will sift through yards of sand in front of iconic Haystack Rock.
