Overview

Acu-Loc Dorsal Plates

Acumed's Acu-Loc Dorsal Plates are designed for complex injuries that need to be addressed from the dorsal side of the radius. The strength of the distal cage of screws - with fixed angle locking technology - supports the fracture during healing.

Approved Indications

Approved Indications

  • Buttress for dorsal fractures.
  • Corrective osteotomy.
  • Dorsal comminution.
Key Features

Key Features

  • Anatomic plate design: Acumed's low-profile, anatomically contoured plates assist in restoring the original geometry of the patient's anatomy. The system's left and right-specific plate options match the anatomic curvature of the dorsal distal radius.
  • Dorsal approach: The surgeon can visualize the fracture and use the plate to buttress the dorsal fragments for a simplified reduction. The plate's proximal portion is placed just radial to the convex surface of the radial shaft.
  • Minimal irritation: Soft tissue irritation and hardware prominence are reduced by the plate's dorsal lateral positioning, low-profile design and screw interface.
  • Advanced radiolucent target guide: Acumed's low-profile guide allows the surgeon to target each of the distal screws. Drilling, measuring and inserting the screw through the guide saves valuable OR time.
