- Large guide wires: Acutrak 2 features stout guide wires for provisional stabilization of the fixation site and accurate screw placement.
- Large hex drivers: Acutrak 2 screws accept a larger hex driver than Acutrak; screws. Surgeon-friendly instrumentation includes an improved driver handle for greater comfort.
- Self-drilling: The self-drilling Acutrak 2 cuts its way into the bone. The system includes quick-release instrumentation for convenient use in the OR.
- Straightforward procedure: With cannulation and self-tapping threads, Acutrak 2 eliminates the need to countersink a head, drill a glide hole or make large incisions.
- Variable pitch: The screw tip’s wider thread pitch penetrates bone faster than finer trailing threads, gradually compressing fragments as the screw is advanced.
- Modular instrument tray: All Acutrak 2 screw families are housed in one system tray for greater convenience.
