Overview
Locking Calcaneal Plates
Designed in conjunction with Douglas N. Beaman, M.D., Acumed’s Locking Calcaneal Plate addresses the complex challenges of calcaneal fractures.
Our anatomic, ultra low-profile design simultaneously adds strength throughout the posterior facet region and minimizes soft tissue irritation, while the plate’s triangular construct provides stability and secure screw fixation.
Acumed’s Locking Calcaneal Plate can be used with Acumed’s Callos® Calcium Phosphate Cement for additional fixation and the best possible outcome for the patient.
Approved Indications
- Calcaneal fractures.
Key Features
Key Features
- Anatomic design: Contoured to fit the anterior process, the plate provides strong fixation through a triangular construct in the posterior facet and calcaneal tuberosity.
- Ultra low-profile: The plate is 20-percent thicker under the posterior facet to provide strength and has a lower profile in regions with minimal soft tissue coverage.
- Three size offerings: To accommodate varying patient sizes — and to support multiple screws passing through the plate into the tuberosity — our plates are available in six configurations (three sizes, color-coded left and right-specific) and accept both locking and nonlocking screws.
