Modular Hand System
Acumed’s Modular Hand System offers innovative solutions and straightforward techniques, from the carpals to the phalanges. The system’s modular tray set allows for flexibility and includes Acumed’s Hub Cap four corner fusion plate, Mini Hub Cap fusion plate, STT three corner fusion plate and MCP fusion plates as well as our Small Joint Reamer System.

- Fracture and fusion fixation for specific indications throughout the hand, from the carpals to the phalanges.

- Variable Angle screw placement: The screw-plate interface and scalloped design allow maximized purchase in the carpals. Enhanced screw placement — when combined with Acumed’s 2.7mm or 2.1mm screws — makes for a solid construct. A locking plate cap prevents the screws from migrating out of the carpals.
- Provisional stability during insertion: K-wire holes and the Hub Cap Plate Post ensure accurate screw placement — eliminating plate tilt, or dishing, which can lead to plate prominence above the dorsal surface of the carpals.
- Advanced instrumentation: Our dual-purpose reamer captures and contains bone debris as it prepares the fusion site. Acumed’s unique 7mm bone graft harvester is designed to morsallize bone graft from the distal radius with minimal impaction.
