Osteo-Clage

Acumed’s Osteo-Clage cable system is a multifilament cobalt-chromium or stainless steel cable and sleeve used in cerclage fixation procedures. Comprised of 49 strands of twisted wire, each Osteo-Clage cable is superior in tensile strength and suppleness and is resistant to kinking when compared to monofilament wires

Key Features

Improved cable sleeve: Greater beveling of the sleeve holes reduces stress on the cable, and the machined cable requires less force than cast cables for crimping. The polished sleeve also means less tissue abrasion.

Cable length (850mm): The Osteo-Clage’s longer cable length allows two passes around the bone for additional compression.

Grooved fracture plates: The low-profile plate can be used to cable above the fracture in the zone of the stem — with screws through the plate below the stem — for solid fixation.
