Acumed Superior Midshaft Clavicle Plate
  • Anatomically Contoured
The plates act as templates for restoring the geometry of the patient’s anatomy and for reconstructing a malunion, nonunion, or highly comminuted fracture.
  • Low-profile Design
Each plate has beveled edges designed to minimize the potential for soft tissue irritation. In addition, tapered plate ends are designed to reduce the risk of peri-prosthetic fractures due to stress concentrations.
  • Right and Left Specific Plates
Plate specificity provides a variety of options to address a wide range of patient anatomies, minimizing the need for plate bending.
  • Precise Screw Placement
10° angled medial and lateral screw holes allow for drilling and screw insertion away from the patient’s head.

Acumed Superior Midshaft Plates offer an array of plate options for superior midshaft clavicle fractures, malunions, and nonunions. 16 plates in 8 lengths and 2 different widths provides the surgeon with a comprehensive plating system. In addition, the design of the plates and their orientation to the clavicle provides biomechanical stability.

Case Series: Clavicle Fractures

In this series of eight case studies, William B. Geissler, M.D., and Robert Orfaly, M.D., use the Acumed Locking Clavicle J-Plate, Locking Superior Clavicle Plate, Locking Anterior Clavicle Plate and Locking Distal Clavicle Plate to treat a range of clavicle fractures including a lateral-third clavicle fracture, a displaced midshaft clavicle fracture and nonunion and malunion midshaft clavicle fractures.
