In 2004, Acumed designed the Acu-Loc Targeted Volar Distal Radius Plate System for repairing fractures of the distal radius. Over 200,000 Acu-Loc Volar Distal Radius Plates have been implanted globally since its release. The Acu-Loc had many features not seen previously in distal radius plating.
