Scaphoid Targeting Guide
For non-displaced fractures of the scaphoid, Acumed’s patented Scaphoid Targeting Guide provides a repeatable and reliable means of targeting percutaneous guide wire placement with speed, efficiency and accuracy — saving valuable OR time in a straightforward procedure.
Our guide assists in placing the guide wire down the central axis of the scaphoid for precise placement of Acumed’s Acutrak® or Acutrak 2® screws.
Approved Indications
- Percutaneous guide wire placement for non-displaced fractures of the scaphoid.
Key Features
Key Features
- Secure clamping: The guide’s clamping feature holds the patient’s hand firmly in position while moving from anterior-posterior views to lateral views for imaging.
- Accurate positioning: Under fluoroscopy, the guide’s central hole can be seen over the CMC joint to help align the guide wire with the central axis on the scaphoid.
- Wire placement holes: Wire placement holes offer nine different angles for customized placement of the guide wire. Distal/proximal and radial/ulnar adjustments help align the wire without having to remove the guide.
- Color-coding: Color-coded targeting disks are available in three different sizes — .035”, .045” and .054” — for use with Acutrak 2® Standard, Mini and Micro screws and Acutrak® Standard, Mini and 4/5 screws.
