Acumed is focused on providing solutions for fractures in the elbow region. We provide multiple, innovative fixation options for a broad range of indications involving the distal humerus, proximal ulna and radial head.
In 2000 Acumed introduced the Mayo Clinic Congruent Elbow Plates revolutionizing the treatment of distal humerus, olecranon and coronoid fractures. For the first time ever, surgeons were provided with a pre-contoured plating system for the elbow designed with a principle-based approach to treating these often difficult fractures. By applying the distal humerus plates parallel to one another rather than the traditional 90/90 application, surgeons have been able to more aggressively rehabilitate their patients without the concern of hardware failure.
For treating comminuted fractures of the radial head, Acumed's Anatomic Radial Head System provides a comprehensive solution with innovative implants and precise, easy-to-use instrumentation. The goal of this system is to provide rigid fixation and anatomic restoration of both the radial head and neck. In addition to our unique anatomic implants, the instrumentation to install the Anatomic Radial Head is straightforward and produces a reliable and repeatable determination of overall radial length needed to be restored.
Our elbow solutions have recently expanded to the diaphyseal portion of the radius and ulna with our Anatomic Midshaft Forearm Plate System. This system provides a low-profile, anatomically designed plate family with innovative instrumentation to make the procedure quicker and more straightforward than ever before. We also offer a comprehensive system of Forearm Rods featuring an anatomic shape, interlocking technology and multiple features to provide maximum rotational stability.
