Introduced in 1993, the Acutrak Headless Compression Screw has revolutionized the way surgeons gain and maintain compression. Its tapered, variable pitch, fully threaded, cannulated design allows superior compression and holding power for fractures, osteotomies and fusions alike. The Acutrak's versatility is second to none. We offer 10 families of titanium Acutrak screws in a broad range of lengths, styles and diameters- from the snap-off AcuTwist screws to the Acutrak 6/7 screws with lengths up to 120mm.

The launch of the Acutrak 2 family of headless compression screws has taken Acutrak technology one step further. With more robust guide wires and hex drivers than original Acutrak, the improved instrumentation provides greater reliability and effectiveness. In addition, Acutrak 2 screws offer a self-drilling feature that further simplifies the surgical technique. We introduced our smallest cannulated Acutrak screws to date: the Acutrak 2 Micro. This screw family offers lengths ranging from 6mm-20mm, and provides optimum fixation and compression for interphalangeal fractures, radial head fractures and many other indications in the upper and lower extremities.

In addition to designing and manufacturing innovative screw fixation options, Acumed offers unique instrumentation systems that make the procedure quicker and more straightforward for the surgeon and surgical staff. Our Scaphoid Targeting Guide is a perfect example of improving efficiency and saving valuable OR time. While surgeons are moving toward utilizing percutaneous approaches for many applications, the scaphoid proved to sometimes be tricky to target the guide wire at an optimum trajectory. The patented Scaphoid Targeting Guide provides a repeatable and reliable means to target the guide wire properly with speed and efficiency.
