November 18, 2024

A navicular cuneiform arthrodesis is a surgical procedure where the joint between the navicular bone and the cuneiform bones in the midfoot is fused together, essentially “locking” the joint to relieve pain caused by arthritis or collapse of the medial foot arch, often done to stabilize the medial column of the foot; in simpler terms, it’s a surgical fusion of the navicular-cuneiform joint in the middle of the foot to alleviate pain from joint degeneration.
