Acumed proudly provides funding to support medical education

We believe supporting medical education is one of the most important ways Acumed can assist the healthcare community in providing positive patient outcomes. Acumed is proud to contribute to medical education programs that promote scientific knowledge, medical advancement, and the delivery of efficient healthcare through our educational grant program.

Please note: If interested in requesting funds for a research proposal, please visit our Collaborative Research Opportunities page.

Acumed educational grants are offered in two general categories:

Professional Medical Education Grants

Professional Medical Education Grants provide funding for independent medical educational programs for health care professionals, including congresses, conferences, symposiums, or courses, with or without labs, that are sponsored by professional medical associations, societies, or continuing education providers and academic institution labs. This includes support requested for cadaveric labs intended to educate fellows or residents at an academic institution.

Submission deadline: To be considered, the completed application, including all required supporting documentation, must be received at least 60 days before the scheduled date of the event, activity, or program. If you have any questions, please contact grants@acumed.net.

Fellowship Grants

Fellowship Grants provide support for ACGME-accredited fellowship programs, or, for programs outside of the United States, accredited by the particular country’s ACGME equivalent. Fellowship Grants are intended to be used towards fellow stipends and direct educational expenses. To manage our budget and to ensure Acumed can fund as many worthwhile programs as possible, we limit the awarding of Fellowship Grants to once per calendar year.

Submission deadline: To be considered, the completed application, including all required supporting documentation, must be submitted between October 1 and April 15. Applications submitted after the April 15 deadline will be held for the following year’s review cycle. Applicants will receive notification on the outcome of their grant application by May 30. If you have any questions, please contact grants@acumed.net.

To apply: Acumed uses an online submission process to objectively evaluate each grant application we receive. Please be prepared to upload the following required documents:

  • Letter of request
  • Current ACGME accreditation status (or for programs outside of the United States, the particular country’s ACGME equivalent accrediting body)
  • Fellowship program description/educational program overview
  • Estimated total budget for the program
  • W-9 Form
