OsteoMed CFx™ Craniomaxillofacial Fixation System

Overview

The CFx™ Craniomaxillofacial Fixation System (formerly the M4 System) is a comprehensive system featuring modular instrument trays on top and three module bays underneath.

The system comes standard with 1.2/1.6, 2.0, and 2.0/2.4 mm modules. 2.0 mm Orthognathic and the Orthognathic Supra Advancement modules are optional/additional to the typical set build.

Indications for Use

Cranialmaxillofacial Indications Only

  • CFx Rigid Fixation System is indicated for fracture fixation during cranial and facial trauma reconstructions, orthognathic reconstruction, mandibular reconstruction, and surgery involving osteotomies and trauma of cranial or facial bones.
  • Low Profile Orbital Floor Plate System is indicated for the reconstructive treatment of orbital floor and/or medial wall trauma or bone excision in adult patients.

Maxillofacial Indications Only

  • 2.0 Auto-Drive MMF Screws are indicated for temporary ligature and wire lock fixation for temporary constriction and stabilization of fractured bone segments in the oral cavity in conjunction with primary fixation devices.

The intended clinical benefit of CFx Rigid Fixation System is to provide fixation for patients with craniofacial, maxillofacial, and mandibular fractures as a result of trauma or genetic malformations of the craniomaxillofacial skeleton and bone. The indirect clinical benefit of the encompassed instrumentation is to facilitate implantation protocols for fracture fixation.
