OsteoMed ICON Facial Plating System

For treatment of Facial Trauma Surgery
Overview

The ICON™ Facial Plating System is OsteoMed's next-generation CMF surgical solution. Each of the 1.2, 1.6, 2.0, and 2.4 mm modules are completely customizable with individual plate and screw tags.

System design features, such as the built-in auxiliary mesh tray and utility tray, offer space to include larger meshes, orbital floor plates, and optional instrumentation.

This system can either be a three-module or two-module configuration.

Indications for Use

Maxillofacial Indications Only:

  • The ICON Modular Locking Fixation System is comprised of plates, screws and instrumentation for fracture fixation in maxillofacial trauma reconstruction, mandibular reconstruction and orthognathic reconstruction.
  • The MMF / IMF Screws are indicated for temporary ligature and wire lock fixation for temporary constriction and stabilization of fractured bone segments in the oral cavity in conjunction with primary fixation devices.
  • The 2.0 Locking Plate System is indicated for oral, maxillofacial surgery; trauma; reconstructive surgery; and orthognathic surgery (surgical correction of dentofacial deformities). Screws and Plates are intended for single patient use only.
  • The  ICON Modular Locking Fixation System (2.8mm thickness plates) is indicated for fracture fixation in maxillofacial trauma reconstruction, mandibular reconstruction and orthognathic reconstruction. Note: The ICON 2.8mm thickness plates are not to be placed on craniofacial fractures (PN: 231-2801, 231-2802, 231-2811, 231-2812, 231-2813, 2312814, 231-2821, 231-2822)
  • The Low Profile Orbital Floor Plate System is intended to be used in the reconstruction of the floor and/or medial wall of the orbit. The OsteoMed Low Profile Plate System is indicated for the reconstructive treatment of orbital floor and/or medical wall trauma or bone excision in adult patients.

Cranial Maxillofacial Indications Only:

  • The CFxTM Rigid Fixation Systems are indicated for fracture fixation during cranial and facial trauma reconstructions, orthognathic reconstruction, mandibular reconstruction and surgery involving osteotomies and trauma.
  • The Angulated Locking Fixation System is indicated for mandibular fracture fixation in cranio-maxillofacial trauma reconstruction, mandibular reconstruction and orthognathic reconstruction.
