Course Overview

Join us for a one-day course, led by Dr. Herford, focusing on Craniomaxillofacial Trauma, where he will dive into essential techniques, present practical case studies and highlight surgical tools such as Acumed Digital Surgical planning. Topics will include incisions and approaches, as well as the management of complex facial fractures and reconstructive techniques. Comprehensive didactic sessions will be complimented by hands-on lab cadaveric lab dissections. This course is designed to strengthen participants’ foundational knowledge and clinical skills in CMF trauma procedures.

Round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations for the evening prior to the course (10/23) will be provided for participating residents. Attendees are also invited to join a welcome dinner the night before the course, offering an opportunity to network with faculty and peers prior to the program beginning.

Target Audience

Oral and Maxillofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive, and Otolaryngology – Head & Neck residents (PGY 3 –6) seeking to expand their knowledge and hands-on experience in craniomaxillofacial trauma, including fracture management, reconstructive techniques, surgical approaches, and digital surgical planning. The course is particularly suited for residents with foundational trauma experience who are looking to further develop their clinical and operative skills through cadaveric training.
