Brachymetatarsia
November 18, 2024
Brachymetatarsia is a condition where one of the five metatarsal bones in the foot is abnormally short, resulting in a shortened toe. It can affect any of the five metatarsals, but most commonly affects the fourth toe. It usually occurs bilaterally (both feet). If it affects more than one toe on the foot, it is called brachymetapody.
