Course Overview

Join us for this comprehensive program designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities that women encounter throughout their surgical career. The one-day course provides hands-on cadaveric workshops, didactic lectures, in-depth case discussions, and exclusive opportunity to learn from fellow women in orthopedics about their journey from residency through practice. Course Faculty

Lisa Lattanza, MD

Dr. Lattanza is the chair of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the Yale School of Medicine and specializes in treating complex injuries and congenital problems of the adult and pediatric elbow. She completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Missouri Kansas City and did a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons/Roosevelt Hospital. She did additional fellowship training in Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas.

Ayesha Rahman, MD

Dr. Rahman is the co-director of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital Level I Trauma Center in Queens, specializing in complex injuries of the hand, wrist, and elbow. She completed Orthopaedic Surgery residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of California San Francisco, and has academic appointments at Cornell University, Columbia University, and St. John’s University.

Leslie Sisco-Wise, MD

Dr. Sisco-Wise is the Section Head of Hand Surgery for the Ochsner Health System and current President of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association. After a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Louisiana State University she completed her fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of California. Her clinical interests include hand surgery, microsurgery and problems of the hand and upper extremity with and without arthroscopy and microvascular care.
